Manager, Compensation Projects
45 Sidney Street Cambridge, MA 02139 US
Job Description
Notes from RM intake call: The team is looking for a Compensation Project Manager to act as a hands-on partner to the hiring manager, primarily focused on executing full-cycle compensation processes rather than leading strategy. This role will be heavily involved in performance management and compensation planning, including analyzing ratings, ensuring parity across teams, preparing data for comp planning, testing and validating the Oracle comp planning system, and supporting managers with educational materials and troubleshooting. Additional responsibilities include supporting Year-End Awards and the holiday party, general compensation benchmarking and offer support, and light involvement in benefits open enrollment. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of compensation experience, a bachelor’s degree (master’s can offset experience), and strong skills in Excel; experience with Power BI, Oracle, PayFactors, and benchmarking surveys (Radford, Towers Watson) is preferred. The role is hybrid (2–3 days in Cambridge, but fully remote possible) and is expected to last through the end of 2026, with flexibility in compensation for strong candidates. The interview process will likely include 2–3 rounds with a small panel of HR and leadership representatives, targeting a start date of October 14, 2025. Overall, the position emphasizes execution, data analysis, and hands-on support, with some light event planning and project coordination.
How will your role help us transform hope into reality? We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Compensation Projects Manager (Contractor) to support the Director, Compensation, Mobility and People Analytics in executing key components of the annual compensation cycle and performance management processes. This role will also contribute to year-end awards planning and partner with Talent Acquisition to support offer development. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, experience with compensation systems, and the ability to manage cross-functional projects in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, the successful candidate has demonstrated the ability to mix the science of compensation with the art of motivating and driving engagement while partnering day-to-day with employees, managers, team members and senior leaders to attract, retain and engage the BlueCrew, ensuring they feel their value.
