Position Purpose:
In this role you will work as part of a team responsible for providing pathogen safety support to the North American (NA) Cell and Gene Therapy programs and providing global support on pathogen safety across the organization as needed. You will be responsible for assisting with change control and manufacturing incident assessments, product risk assessments, raw materials risk assessments, adventitious agent testing strategies, and segregation risk assessments under general supervision. Successful completion of these tasks will require comprehension of operating procedures, regulatory guidance, in-house data and relevant scientific literature. Due to the global nature of the position, you may periodically be required to participate in global telecon meetings outside of local business hours.
Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
1 Contribute to the develop of risk assessments by review and comprehension of operating procedures, regulatory guidance, in-house data and scientific literature under general direction.
2 Assist in the conduct of globally distributed projects as needed.
3 Develop solutions for problems and challenges in a project under supervision.
4 Assist with authorship and review of scientific reports and risk assessments.
Qualifications/Education: Master degree, or equivalent in Science related field. An advanced degree (PhD) in Science, or equivalent is preferred. Experience in virology, cell and gene therapy, bioanalytics, cell biology, biotechnology, or similar field is highly preferred.
Experience: 3+ years experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
