This person will perform simulated procedures on the robotic-assisted surgery system, including positioning the system components and introduction and removal of test materials. This person can also be responsible for documentation of system performance and usage, basic data analysis, generating reports, and activating the appropriate response mechanisms to issues observed during testing. Strong communication skills is a must. This person will perform batches of repetitive cycling of ergonomic adjustments and interactions with user interfaces including buttons, switches, touch screens, and medical equipment control surfaces.
Education Required: High school diploma or GED
Years’ Experience Required: 0-10 years
The Test Technician will work in the simulated workflow of a robotic surgical system for reliability testing in a test laboratory setting as if it were to be performed in an operating room under the supervision of the System Workflow Lead.
You will:
Perform simulated surgical procedures on the robotic-assisted surgical system.
Perform simulated bedside assist functions including positioning the system components instrument exchanges and introduction and removal of test materials.
Document system performance and usage.
Perform basic data analysis generate reports and activate the appropriate response mechanisms to issues observed during testing.
Perform manual setup and tear down activities including cleaning of all equipment surfaces and orienting medical equipment for daily storage and transport within the simulated OR.
Perform periodic workflows including manually transporting medical equipment throughout the facility taking measurements to evaluate system functional performance over time and emergency simulation or response activities.
Perform batches of repetitive cycling of ergonomic adjustments and interactions with user interfaces including buttons switches touch screens and medical equipment control surfaces.
Must Have:
High School Diploma Dedication to the integrity of the daily/production workflow and commitment to maintain the daily schedule Acute attention to detail and note taking/documenting ability for real-time user feedback and system performance Acute attention to detail when interfacing/interacting with expensive/sophisticated capital medical equipment
Nice to have:
Associate or Bachelors degree in a technical discipline. Experience with medical devices robotics or automated laboratory equipment Experience working as/with medical staff preferably in a surgical Operating Room
