Job Description


Duties:
  • Weekend and holiday work as required
  • Perform activities associated with the preparation of vaccine components in an aseptic clean room environment using virus and cell culture techniques according to USDA regulations
  • Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures during process execution
  • Assist with training and coaching current and new employees on required skills
  • Complete and review in-process documentation for accuracy and compliance in a timely manner; maintain technical data and support documentation
  • Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions to address problems; escalate production flow disturbances
  • Demonstrate a visible commitment to Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs and initiatives
  • Assess individual performance with regard to continuous improvement (AAI)
  • Participate in and provide support to site projects and initiatives, including deviation and change control management

Skills:
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Knowledge of clean room and aseptic techniques
  • Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing Principles
  • Basic math skills and equipment/automation troubleshooting skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other database software systems
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability

Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Preferred: Biology degree or related field, with one year or more of laboratory and/or manufacturing experience
