Analytics Manager
Job Description
Target PR Range: 87-97/hr
*Depending on experience
We are seeking a highly motivated Manager, Analytics to join our Data Science and Analytics team within Global Supply Chain. This is an individual contributor, remote (US - based) position and will focus on broad data exploration, quantitative methodology and statistical modeling to enhance our supply chain responsiveness, agility and optimization. We are a product-minded team who blends elements of UX design, Product Strategy and Data Mining to build user-centric tools that bring insights into the evolving complexities of our supply chain. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-pace environment, has strong communications and consulting skills and loves problem solving using data.
Responsibilities of the Manager:
- Serves as a thought partner to global supply chain functions including Network Planning, Procurement, Materials Planning, Logistics and Distribution to understand external variables, learn internal landscape and develop relationships to successfully enable the delivery of analytics
- Discovers new use cases for applied data science and machine learning opportunities by exploring diverse datasets, assessing feasibility and designing prototype models.
- Translate problems into specific analytical questions and form hypotheses that can be answered with available data using statistical methods or identify additional data needed
- Perform hands-on data analyses and modeling to develop insights and recommendations to inform decisions across the supply chain portfolio
- Delivers insights via well-designed, user-friendly and visually appealing dashboards and reports
- Build functional apps for advanced dashboards, scenario planning and interactive analysis
- Develop data wrangling workflows and database objects designed for business consumption (semantic views)
- Applies UX and Product Management approaches to ensure our deliverables evolve and continue to provide value over time
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years hands-on experience in analytics, data science or business intelligence
- 3+ years experience in supply chain, operations, procurement, consulting, life sciences or related field
- Excellent skills with exploratory data analysis and modeling using Python (pandas, numpy, sklearn), R or SAS
- Strong SQL skills for complex querying, analysis, and performance optimization
- Demonstrated experience building interactive data visualizations using tools such as Plotly Dash, Quicksight, Tableau
- Experience sourcing, merging and cleansing datasets using tools such as Databricks, AWS Glue, Alteryx, Python
- Experience working on cloud platforms such as AWS (S3, Athena, Redshift, Glue, Sagemaker)
- Practical experience using tools such as Github, Jupyter Notebook and Jira
- Foundational understanding of data warehousing concepts, design, modeling and data engineering
- Experience working with large scale ERP such as Oracle and SAP
- Ability to work independently, initiate and drive work to conclusion
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills across a diverse audience
- Understanding of user experience design principles, product management and agile methodology
