Job Description


We are seeking a motivated Associate Research Scientist with some experience in cell biology and/or drug discovery to participate in research focused on protein homeostasis for cancer therapeutics. The successful candidate will work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment to use cell-based assays in support of discovery of small molecules and perform in vitro studies to further our understand MOA of novel drug targets

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
  1. Develop and conduct assays to support discovery and optimization of novel chemical matters
  2. Design and perform cell biology related experiments to support target validation and MOA of target.
  3. Analyze and present data in an organized and timely manner.

Requirements:
  1. Bachelors degree in a scientific discipline with 0 ~ 4 years of work experience or Masters degree with 0 ~ 2 years of experience in relevant academic/industry settings.
  2. Understand or willingness to learn key aspects of SAR support using biological assays.
  3. Familiar with in vitro cell-based assays, including but not limited to: cell proliferation, cell cycle etc.
  4. Experience in cell biology for target validation and MOA studies, including mammalian cell culture and characterization, lentivirus production, transient/stable transfection, KD/KO/KI.
  5. Experience in cell biology and biochemistry related techniques (Protein assays, Western blot, ELISA, FACS etc).
  6. Knowledge about breast cancer/lung cancer or other solid tumors is a plus.
  7. Track of record for relevant publications as major contributor/authorship is a plus.
  8. Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  9. Capability to deliver high quality data in a timely and well-organized manner.
  10. Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic team environment with flexibility to adapt to changes.
  11. This position requires nearly 100% on site.
40-48 pay rate range
**salary will be commensurate with experience**
