?Pay Rate Range: $60-66/hr

We are hiring for an Associate Scientist / Scientist to join our Bioinformatics group. As a Bioinformatics Scientist, you will work closely with the team to leverage data science techniques into ongoing and future projects relating to  allogeneic cellular therapy programs. The ideal candidate will bring a broad understanding of bioinformatics, biostatistics, data visualization, and machine learning. The exceptional candidate would additionally have a working knowledge of key immunology, oncology and cell therapy development concepts. We are looking for a Bioinformatics Scientist who is interested in applying these capabilities to have a direct impact on current and new products. This role can be Remote or Thousand Oaks local.

Skills: Works with cross-functional teams to plan and execute high throughput projects with large and diverse datasets Cleans and validates data and data sources to ensure accuracy, completeness, and uniformity Designs analysis plans, processes, analyzes, and visualizes data, and interprets results Works with scientists and subject matter experts to drive biomarker discovery Leads or assists with the building of bioinformatics infrastructure (e.g., analysis workflow, server, and data storage) Prepares presentations and presents findings in group and project meetings Updates job knowledge by reading relevant technical and scientific publications Education: Qualifications Masters in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology or related field (Scientist); or Masters degree in relevant field plus 2 years of industry experience (Associate Scientist) Expertise in statistics, machine learning, and bioinformatics Familiar with basic concepts of oncology, immunology, or neurology highly desired Demonstrated competence in Linux and the broad application of one or more high-level programming languages such as R, Python, and SQL Familiarity with high-dimensional flow cytometry, TCR-seq, genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and/or metabolomics datasets is highly desirable Strong project management skills and focus on delivery of results Strong communicator who effectively adjusts to technical and non-technical audiences Demonstrated ability for scientific creativity, collaboration with others, and independent thought Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills
