Job Description
Support the development of nutritional liquid and powder products for global markets.
Major Responsibilities:
• Assist product developers in experimental design, formula development, data and information collection, data analysis, write protocols and reports and present results in group meetings.
• Assist in manufacturing of experimental products in pilot facilities and plants (create manufacturing instructions, order and weigh ingredients, assemble batches for processing and fill into containers).
• Coordinate analytical testing of product (prepare testing protocols, review test results, perform unit conversions).
• Support the development of business processes that will enable pre and post run manufacturability review for research batches.
• Develop and utilize data analytics tools and methodologies to conduct pre and post-production manufacturability review.
• Organize and present manufacturability data to the cross functional teams as required.
• Collect, clean and develop data for analytics purposes.
• Identify patterns, develop trends using formulation, manufacturing parameters and product test results.
• Generate insights to support research and development efforts.
• Conduct product evaluations such as powder oxidation and scoop delivery studies, in process testing of pH, viscosity and total solids.
Skills Required:
• Strong verbal and written technical communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours per day).
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours per day).
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50lbs.
Education:
1. BS in Food Science or related scientific field with 0-3 years relevant experience. An internship or equivalent experience at a food company is a plus.
Support Reagent manufacturing. Conduct investigations on internal nonconformances and customer complaints related to Reagents. Assist in developing/ improving Reagent manufacturing processes and/or products. Major Responsibilities: Design experiments and testing schemes, analyze data, write protocols and reports and present results to a cross-functional team. Must demonstrate strong problem solving and analytical skills and be a team player.
Must possess a BS in molecular biology, biochemistry, or related field with at 2-4 years relevant experience. Knowledge of GMP, ISO, and FDA regulations and audits a plus. Familiar with process and test method validations. Excellent communication skills. Shall be able to perform under pressure to meet project deadlines.Â
Pay ranges between $20-22/hr based on experienceÂ
