a. Required Skill 1: NGS analysis (RNAseq, WES, etc.)
b. Required Skill 2: python and R
c. Required Skill 3: oncology background, especially in cancer biology, tumor dependencies, signaling pathways
d. Required Skill 4: data visualization, technical problem solving
e. Required Skill 5: good communication skills
6) What years of experience, education, and/or certification is required?
a. PhD. Degree in bioinformatics, computational biology, statistics, mathematics, computer science, genomics, cancer biology, immunology, or a related field.
b. Master’s degree with typically 3-5 years of experience.
c. Bachelor’s degree with typically 6-8 years of experience.
7) What is a nice to have (but not required) regarding skills, requirements, experience, education, or certification?
a. experience with HPC clusters, cloud compute, docker containers/apptainers or similar
b. Version control, github, shell
c. Variant calling and somatic copy number estimation from DNA
d. CRISPR screens analysis, single cell platforms, proteomics, metabolomics, microarray, etc.
e. Predictive modeling, machine learning, statistics

Half of role is involved in support for oncology discovery teams to perform varied analyses pertaining to target ID and validation, MOA hypothesis generation, biomarker discovery, etc. Other half is pertaining to innovative research and methodology development for DNA NGS.

Prior research work in oncology bioinformatics analysis, either in academia or industry
12) What will the interview process be?
• Phone screen with hiring managers (two of us)
• Short presentation (30-40 mins) followed by panel discussion/interview
