Job Description
As a Technician, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and optimization of critical utility systems in our pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. This role requires a candidate with a valid New Jersey state Blue seal license and 3+ years of relevant work experience, as per the duties outlined in NJ 12:90- 3.10. This role has a rotating shift and is required to be on call. Utility Systems Maintenance:
- Operate and monitor high-pressure utility systems, including but not limited to HVAC, water purification, compressed air, and other critical utilities essential to pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Adhere to the duties outlined in NJ 12:90-3.10 for licensed persons, specifically focusing on utility systems, including: Verifying and documenting the calibration and maintenance of utility equipment. Responding to and investigating any deviations or abnormalities in utility system operations. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Demand and Preventive Maintenance:
- Responsible for the execution and completion of preventive maintenance programs for utility systems to ensure reliability, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory requirements and business needs.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting activities and perform necessary repairs to utility systems to minimize downtime and maintain optimal operational conditions. Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of utility systems operations, maintenance activities, and compliance records.
- Generate reports and provide information for regulatory inspections as required.
- Ensures Operator Logs and complete and properly maintained in accordance with state requirements.
- All other duties assigned.
Education and Certification Requirements: New Jersey Blue Seal License is required. High School diploma or equivalent (GED) and or vocational trade school is required. Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience focused on utility systems is preferred. Knowledge/Skills Requirements: Regulatory Knowledge: Conversational familiarity with and understanding of NJ 12:90-3.10 duties for licensed persons, particularly in relation to utility systems. Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other relevant regulations. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to read and comprehend technical documents and drawings. Proficient in computer skills, adept at documenting work in the Computerized Maintenance
Management System (CMMS) and monitoring the Building Automation System (BAS) on-site. Additionally, well-versed in the functionality of basic office software, including email, document creation, and spreadsheet applications. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team and work closely with Associate Technicians. Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and eagerness to take on new challenges.
