Job Description
1. Physical Demands / Surroundings - Works in an office setting under desirable conditions with few or no disagreeable features. Duties do not require incumbent to exert physical effort beyond normal office conditions. The individual may be required to enter production support areas. Some domestic and international travel required.
2. Visual Demands - Must be able to read and see clearly. Vision clarity with or without correction to read handwritten as well as computer generated documents.
3. Attendance / Schedule - Attendance requirements are based on general attendance policies and the needs of the business as set forth by direct manager. Significant interaction with multiple departments across the site to collect, influence and collaborate activities. Groups to include, but not limited to: Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Human Resources, Quality, Finance, Facilities, Project Management, Site Leadership Team, Corporate Stakeholders
Skills:
- Requires experience utilizing a MRP system (highly prefer SAP) to plan, order, cost, track materials.
- Must have experience utilizing Advanced Planning systems to plan, track and coordinate shipment of materials, API and product.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills including Microsoft Word and PowerPoint strongly preferred.
- Ability to do complex analysis in Microsoft Excel is a must.
- Ability to develop and improve processes based Six Sigma or LEAN methodologies (certification a plus) strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills with the ability to work under pressure is necessary to be successful in this role
Education:
- Requires a minimum of 5 years buying/planning experience preferably in a pharmaceutical environment with a Bachelors of Science degree; In lieu of 5 years minimum experience, 3 years direct experience may be considered with a Masters of Science degree
Pay Rate Range: 50-70/hr depending on experience
