KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES:
  • External facing role in the areas of cardiology/pulmonology.
  • One of the key medical interfaces between Client/CRO and Sites:
    • Build relationships, visit the sites, and provide feedback to the team.
    • Liaise and support Clinical Operations at the Client/CRO team to eliminate barriers around enrollment at the site.
    • Resolve in-country enrollment challenges when appropriate.
  • Maintain high-profile international scientific visibility by attending conferences and being deeply knowledgeable about external competition and field advancements.

 

SKILL & EFFORT:
  • Medical degree or other Expertise in the field of cardiology
    • Experience in the field of pulmonology a plus.
    • Experience as a medical science liaison or study medical monitor a plus.
  • Experience or demonstrated ability to deeply understand study design and execution of clinical studies.
  • Learn country-specific cardiology/pulmonology standard of care practices, flow of patients to treating physicians, and medications on formulary.
  • Demonstrated skills in data analysis, synthesis, and ability to clearly articulate and educate others.

 

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS/CONTACTS:
  • Strong team player, proven ability to build and leverage relationships at the global level with site KOLs and staff to facilitate team goals.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
  • Self-motivated to achieve personal, study, and team goals to build a culture around the program outside of the Client as well as linking back to the company and study cultures.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.

 

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Advanced degree in the life sciences/healthcare (or clinically relevant degree) is required and at least 5 years of experience in Cardiovascular field.
  • Prior experience in clinical research or drug development
  • High level of autonomy and motivation.
  • Willingness to have a flexible schedule when needed and travel domestically (+/- 50%)
