Job Description


  1. Objective:
    • The Grant Writer will play a pivotal role in securing funding for our early-stage biotech company specializing in Alzheimer's and neurology research. The primary responsibility will be to prepare a compelling and high quality grant submission for a non-profit institute.

  2. Key Responsibilities:

    • Grant Proposal Preparation: Research, compile, and articulate scientific information into required grant proposal format.

    • Collaboration with Research Team: Work closely with our scientific team to gather necessary data, results, and insights to support the grant proposal. 

    • Compliance and Formatting: Ensure that the grant proposal adheres to all guidelines and requirements set forth by the non-profit institute. Pay careful attention to formatting, length, and content specifications.

  3. Timeline and Commitment:
    • This is a short-term assignment estimated to last 1-2 months, requiring approximately 10 hours per week. Flexibility will be needed for additional hours, especially during response and revision phases.

  4. Qualifications:

    • Scientific Background: A strong understanding of Alzheimer's and neurology research is essential. A background in biotechnology, neuroscience, or a related field is mandatory.

    • Grant Writing Experience: Demonstrated experience in successful grant writing, particularly for early-stage biotech ventures, is mandatory.

    • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are crucial for effectively conveying complex scientific concepts to a non-specialized audience.

    • Detail-Oriented: Must possess a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy and compliance with grant guidelines.
