Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis and Budget Management:
- Analyze proposed CRO and CMC vendor budgets to ensure alignment with project requirements and financial guidelines.
- Evaluate cost structures, resource allocations, and potential cost-saving opportunities within vendor agreements.
- Collaborate with finance teams to develop accurate budget forecasts and track expenses throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide insights on financial implications and risks associated with outsourcing decisions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with CROs and CMCs, serving as a point of contact for financial discussions and negotiations.
- Engage in regular communication with vendors to discuss budget-related matters, including cost estimates, invoicing, and potential changes in scope.
- Collaborate with vendor management teams to align expectations and resolve any financial disputes or discrepancies.
- Collaborate with legal and contract teams to review and validate financial terms within vendor agreements, ensuring alignment with budgetary goals.
- Provide recommendations for contract improvements related to financial terms and obligations.
- Support the negotiation process by offering insights on budget constraints and financial feasibility.
- Work closely with project managers, clinical development teams, and other internal teams to ensure that vendor agreements are consistent with project timelines and deliverables.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to discuss project progress, financial status, and potential adjustments to outsourcing strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Business, Finance, Life Sciences, etc.); advanced degree preferred.
- Several years of experience in pharmaceutical procurement, outsourcing, or vendor management, with a specific focus on CRO and CMC vendor agreements.
- Strong financial acumen and proficiency in budget analysis, cost estimation, and financial forecasting.
- In-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, including regulatory requirements and project lifecycle processes.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with external vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate through complex outsourcing scenarios.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools and applications (e.g., Excel, project management software).
Pay Rate Range: 50-80/hr. Salary will be commensurate with experience
