POSITION SUMMARY:
The Financial Planning & Analysis Contractor will assist Commercial and Corporate Functions FP&A team including end-to-end FP&A support for all Selling, General and Administrative functions and oversight of company-wide planning and reporting consolidation efforts. This critical position assists growing Financial Planning and Analysis function and maintains a high level of interaction with senior and executive leadership.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
These may include but are not limited to:
· Drive build-out of Commercial FP&A function and capabilities including:
o Lead monthly reporting, quarterly forecast, and annual budget and long-range planning efforts for proprietary product revenue, gross-to-net discounts, and functional expense management
o Nurture and maintain partnerships with Chief Commercial Officer and Commercial Leadership Team
o Develop reporting KPIs and metrics for all commercial products (Hylenex, XYOSTED, TLANDO, and NOCDURNA)
o Work closely with Managed Markets and Cost Accounting functions to support Gross-to-Net forecasting and optimization
· Steward total company financial consolidation efforts including:
o Lead Corporate Functions FP&A team
o Drive company-wide financial planning and reporting processes
o Develop Executive and Board reporting packages
o Nurture detailed knowledge of financial forecasts to provide input into the organization’s broader strategic risk-taking decisions
o Administration of Financial Planning and Reporting Software (Adaptive Insights) including General Ledger and HRIS data feeds, planning version control, chart of account maintenance, and planning system efficiency initiatives
· Analyze variances and communication of issues and opportunities to management proactively
· Provide thought leadership and influence business leads through insightful financial analytics
· Develop complex financial models and analytical tools to help make responsible financial and business decisions
· Ensure a high degree of quality, timeliness and accuracy
· Effectively partner & interface with Senior Leadership/Departmental Heads and Accounting organization
· Other duties, projects and process improvements as assigned

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· Minimum of a Bachelors’ degree in Finance, Accounting or related field with at least 12 years’ experience in an accounting or finance role (an equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered)
· Minimum five years’ FP&A experience in similar role and two years’ experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
· High proficiency in Excel (including the ability to perform pivot tables, VLOOKUP and high-level functions, formulas, and modeling techniques) and PowerPoint
· Solid proficiencies and adaptability leveraging finance system capabilities
· Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP)
· Detailed understanding and experience forecasting all financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Statement of Cash Flows)
· Domain knowledge of Gross-to-Net accounting
· Proven detail-oriented approach with exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
· Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are essential in this collaborative work environment
· Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, small company environment with minimal direction and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities
· Ability to partner, collaborate, and influence across a wide spectrum of functions
· Previous Adaptive Insights experience a plus
· Software Knowledge: Windows, MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and common applications, or ability to be trained. Adaptive Insights and Great Plains experience a plus.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
Physical Activities: On a continuous basis, be at desk for a long period of time; intermittently answer telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means. Some walking and lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
