Gene Editing Research Associate
Job Description 
The Gene Editing Research Associate independently performs complex experimental procedures designed through collaboration. Innovates proficiently and generates insights that influence research strategies across the areas of design, development, and implementation of CRISPR-Cas gene editing tools in cellular models of disease. Works collaboratively with the analytical team and in vivo team providing technical support to achieve program goals within established timelines and demonstrates excellent documentation skills. Independently performs troubleshooting as needed. Reports experimental findings and results to the team in an organized and clear manner. Authors method documents, analytical protocols and reports. Contributes to lab organization and efficient lab functioning.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Designs, executes, and interprets experiments, with a high degree of reliability and independence.
  • Culture and differentiation of pluripotent stem cells using aseptic technique to manufacture cellular product.
  • Designs development studies with the ability to efficiently assess assay performance.
  • Performs statistical analysis of experimental data, where appropriate.
  • Conducts experimental troubleshooting on a routine basis.
  • Prepares clearly defined protocols and written study reports.
  • Presents results at internal Project Team research meetings.
  • Contributes collaboratively to team goals, providing technical support where needed.
  • Developing potency assay  using ELISA’s, MSD and Luminex platforms.
  • Coordinate work with CRO
Required Education Level
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent degree) in biological sciences and 1-4 years of relevant employment experience
 Required Knowledge/Skills
  • Proven technical proficiency and demonstrated skill in designing, executing and interpreting experiments
  • Uses own judgment to execute follow-up experiments, including troubleshooting
  • Demonstrated understanding of analysis and interpretation of complex experimental data with proficiency in problem solving and protocol refinement
  • Effective communicator (written and verbal)
  • Ability to create and support a productive laboratory environment
Pay Rate $32-$38/hr
