GENERAL SUMMARY
State the general nature and most important job aspects
This position is responsible for development of the curriculum for specific frameworks. Focus on improving business results through appropriate, effective training programs that are designed on best practices, including sound instructional design and adult learning methodologies. This position will support the administration, project participation, testing and implementation of the company learning management system (LMS). This role is a key resource supporting ongoing company compliance to legal and regulatory standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES
List current duties and responsibilities
1    Models values while delivering for our patients, donors, and internal customers
2    Applies best practices and principles of curriculum development. Understanding of adult learning theories and pedagogy, demonstrated ability to apply theory and principles that applies these theories to the creation of training materials
3    Provide technical expertise, evaluate content and make recommendations on incorporating all facets of corporate training programs into business operations. Review and approve documentation as needed to ensure accuracy, compliance, completeness, and mitigate risk
4    Strong knowledge and experience applying adult learning theories, developing multi-modal training solutions, with different training methodologies and measuring the effectiveness using Kirkpatrick, or any other industry standard model. Provide analytical support for the design and development of training curricula or courseware standards
5    Support standards and guidelines for use of the LMS. Train users and provide learning support and troubleshooting for the LMS
6    State instructional end goals and create content that matches them. Design instructional graphics, the user interface, and the finished product. Works collaboratively with SMEs in developing and understanding end goals
7    Work as part of a project team and may lead projects to support the further implementation and enhancement of user interfaces, manage documentation, workflows, and change control processes company-wide
8    Interface with multiple functional groups and subject matter experts to ensure curriculum content and methods meet legal, regulatory, and corporate objectives. Routinely communicates any potential areas of risk and/or opportunity with department leadership
9    Partner in the development and implementation of classroom, web-based and other media training programs for all employees designed to promote knowledge of the corporate code of conduct policies, legal and regulatory requirements of the organization's business
10    Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process. Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role-plays, games, etc). Makes regular recommendations for new learning methods, routinely utilizes new technologies and methodologies in development of training content and can make recommendations for the appropriate technologies to best deliver the training content
11    Participate in documentation/document approval procedures for deviations in corporate policy, training records, work instructions and Plateau SOP
12    Keep abreast of developments in new technologies and techniques by reviewing current literature, participating in educational programs, attending workshops and professional conferences
13    Assists in the evaluation, identification, and testing of new technologies and techniques that support company learning objectives and a culture of constant innovation in training delivery methods
14    May lead local projects and participate in local department initiatives to continuously improve upon the management of changes as it relates to training
15    Other job-related duties as assigned
16    Promotes and supports safety in all aspects of the operations

Education    
•    Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Education, Human Resources or a related area, or equivalent combination of education, training and relevant work experience required

Experience    
•    Knowledge of and proven experience working with Learning Management Systems
•    Minimum 5-8 years of experience developing and applying learning theories and methodologies
•    Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
•    Proven working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology
•    Experience planning, organizing, securing, and managing project resources
•    Solid knowledge of course development software and at least one Learning Management System
•    3-5 years advanced experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop), authoring tools (Adobe Captivate, Articulate, Vyond) and Microsoft Office and ability to storyboard
•    Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts
•    Strong written and verbal communication, and interpersonal and presentation skills to drive results with SMEs and other stakeholders 
•    Understand regulatory standards, various local, state and federal laws that apply to the business and where to find information on standards and interpretations
