Overview:
The Logistics Operations Specialist will coordinate transportation and warehousing activities for the Logistics Operations team. The role will collaborate with contract manufacturing organizations and external warehouse partners to execute shipments from request to receipt. This role will partner internally with materials management, manufacturing, and Trade Compliance teams to ensure materials are appropriately moved, stored and maintained up to date in the SAP system, all while upholding the highest standards of quality and service.
This position is hybrid and will be primarily located at our Cambridge, MA office.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinates inbound and outbound shipment requests with the third party warehouses.
- Schedules and coordinates shipments with carriers or partners with external partners to arrange shipments of materials.
- Monitors shipments in route and ensures compliance arrival at its destination.
- Works with respective sending and receiving sites logistics teams to execute material movements as assigned.
- Collects and maintains temperature data from shipments per SOPs. Ensures management and quality assurance team is alerted in cases of excursions.
- Liases with Trade Compliance to ensure import/export documentation is in place for international shipments.
- Supports cycle count and inventory adjustment activities for external warehouses, where requested.
- Manages SAP transactions (STO process) aligned with material movements.
- Manages documentation for shipments, including packing lists, delivery notes, temperature data.
- Timely completion of periodic internal training modules.
- Adherence to SOPs for GDP and GMP related transport activities.
- Represent Logistics Operations team at assigned meetings.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Logistics, Inventory Control, Material Management or Supply Chain. Experience in a GMP environment is highly preferred.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree a plus in business, logistics, supply chain or related discipline.
- Knowledge of US Customs Regulations, and import/export procedures.
- Knowledge of SAP or equivalent a plus.
- Excellent communications and computer skills with a demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to work independently and communicate with vendors globally. Able to communicate with various levels of the organization and develop successful working relationships.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with flexibility to changing timelines.
- Ability to travel 5-10% for visit to partner locations.
