Job Title: MAP Pricing and Policy Enforcement Specialist

Job Description:

New role in CE to develop robust SOP's with regards to MAP pricing and policy enforcement. The individual will need to support the Sr AD, Pricing and Indirect Transaction Operations on day-to-day processes with MAP policy and enforcement.

Initial Rollout of the 2025 policy and February 1 MAP levels will generate the most activity of the year.
  • Provide Cactus list of customers to monitor - ranked/email addresses.
  • Provide Cactus with list of approved promotions (All Channels).
  • Receives daily list of violations.
  • Validate violation list.
  • After validation, Cactus sends letters.
  • Receives same day-of automated violation letters.
  • Sends appropriate correspondence to authorized dealers commensurate to agreed-upon guidelines.
  • Issue warnings, violation notices, stop ship notices.
  • Violation letters sent daily to merchants’ email addresses provided by team.

Task:
  • First Violation: Customer notified via email of violation. 24-hour grace period to comply.
    • Upon Compliance: No penalties incurred.
  • Second Violation: No compliance after 24-hour 1st violation grace period. Customer notified via email of violation. Stop shipment penalty.
    • Upon Compliance: Stop ship ends. 30-day watch period begins.
  • Third Violation: Repeat violation within 30-day watch period. Customer notified via email of violation. Escalated stop shipment penalty.
    • Upon Compliance:
      1. 30 consecutive days of compliance required to lift stop ship.
      2. Post stop ship, 30-day watch restarts.
      3. Post watch period: Next violation viewed as "First violation".
  • Repeat Violation: Consistent violations across multiple SKUs. Customer notified via email of violation. All products on stop ship until consistent compliance achieved.
  • Fourth Violation: Repeat violation within 30-day watch period. Customer notified via email of violation. Escalated BRAND stop shipment penalty--60 days.
    • Upon Compliance:
      1. 60 consecutive days of compliance required to lift stop ship.
      2. Post stop ship, 60-day watch restarts.
      3. Post watch period: Next violation viewed as "First violation".
  • Fifth Violation: Repeat violation within 60-day watch period. Customer notified via email of violation. All Segment (Pet or Equine) products on stop ship until consistent compliance achieved.
    • Upon Compliance:
      1. 60 consecutive days of compliance required to lift stop ship.
      2. Post stop ship, 90-day watch restarts.
      3. If additional violation occurs, 'repeat violation' penalties.
      4. Post watch period: Next violation viewed as "First violation".

MAP Mailbox Daily Maintenance:
  • Open/Read.
  • Process/Action/Reply - next steps/response.

Work with Cactus (CLA) and Build Relationship:
  • CLA will provide the following:
    • Daily report distribution handled by CLA but distribution list will need to be maintained for user additions and deletions.
    • Violation and 1st Stop Notices handled by CLA but distribution list will need to be maintained for user additions and deletions.

Build Process for the Following:
  • 3rd, 4th, 5th Stop Ship notifications for escalations and informing handled by CLA/CE based on protocol.

Develop and Build Weekly/Monthly KPI/Management Reports.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Prioritize multiple urgent issues with a calm and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to communicate rationale succinctly with all stakeholders for project priorities and align with current business needs.
  • Make quick decisions and effectively communicate with their manager on any changes to keep all on the same page.
  • Balance needs of the business with system capabilities.
  • Help provide solutions to challenges faced with requests.
  • Identify potential issues before they arise and propose solutions.
  • Ability to work with a team on complex problems to form solutions.
  • Support department head's final decision.

Skills and Experience:
  • This job requires astute attention to detail and the ability to evaluate a multitude of possible scenarios. The job holder will be challenged to decipher the differences between business impacts from both the perspective of the customer (benefit) and companies (risk).
  • The job holder will interface periodically with sales, marketing, finance, and species heads; he or she will be the SME when it comes to the systems and processes he or she supports. The individual will also work with third-party vendors, data governance, IT, as well as other departments within the business on technical, data, finance, accounting, and other related issues.
  • The job holder must have a strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with other members of the business, internal departments at BIAH, and external vendors. Required Experience
  • 5-7 years progressive experience in IT, Marketing, Administrative, Finance, Accounting, Customer Service and/or relevant business experience. 
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience
