Job Description

We are looking for a Sales / Business Leader to spearhead the development of the US region for a successful European life sciences consulting company. 

Description: 
  • Cultivate new and existing client business development opportunities in Life Sciences consulting
  • Develop and grow the scope and scale 
  • Significant generation of prospecting/networking activities (events, meetings, phone calls, emails) in the pursuit of new client acquisition and brand awareness
  • Support vision of making healthcare better by supporting our clients with transformational projects
  • Lead the development of proposals, work plans, pricing estimates, and risk assessments for potential projects
  • Respond to client requests for immediate issues while talking on the accountability of driving projects to completion; serve as the point of escalation
  • Manage and lead the local team through leadership by example
  • Manage and motivate staff (including hiring, firing, performance management and recognition duties)
  • Sparring partner with global CEO, Senior Management, Board of Directors, and the Board
  • Be a business partner to Leadership Team members to highlight potential issues and provide guidance on US matters
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements
  • Maintain compliance with US federal, state, and local law

Experience: 
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree (sciences major preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience in professional services consulting; experience leading a life sciences consulting group
  • Expertise in Life Sciences, as well as analytics and digital transformation
  • Strong business development skills with knowledge of how to scale an organization into existing and new geographies
  • Active professional network of relevant executive-level contacts in the local market
  • Strong project management methodology background, including schedule, scope, issue, and risk management experience, change management, strategic planning, and analysis
  • Flexible and resilient and able to achieve results in a team-oriented environment
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Highly self-motivated, independent, and objective-driven
  • Strategic and pragmatic thinker
  • Ability to travel
