Job Description
Duties:
- Independently execute routine unit operations in Purification, including change-over procedures and scheduling within the shift team.
- Perform equipment cleaning, setup, and in-process testing (e.g., cell counting, spectrophotometry, environmental monitoring).
- Monitor and control critical parameters like weights, flows, volumes, temperatures, pressure, and pH.
- Identify and report issues related to manufacturing performance, process, and safety to the team lead.
- Assist in investigations of deviations to facilitate continuous process improvement.
- Train junior staff on unit operations (e.g., bioreactors, cell separation, chromatography, tangential flow, CIP/SIP operations) with a focus on safety and timely completion.
- Collaborate within the team and department to follow best practices and meet goals.
- Report issues to the manager to ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and support continuous improvement.
Skills:
- Experience with established GMP procedures and bulk manufacturing (preferred).
- Technical knowledge of manufacturing systems, methods, and procedures.
- Understanding of purification/cell culture processes.
- Effective troubleshooting skills for equipment and process issues.
Education:
- Preferred: Associate's degree with 1 year of closely related technical experience, ideally in a pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing environment.
Pay Rate Range: $20-24/hr depending on experience
