Job Description
I. Position Overview:
Transport raw, in process and finished goods as required by production schedule. Ships and receives materials necessary to meet production goals and requirements. Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing product & material movements, accurately.
II. Specific Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Performs established method of order picking (FIFO), finished goods to customers according to specified instructions.
- Must be able to read, understand, and interpret shipping documents i.e. BOL, packing list, pro-numbers.
- Assembles and inserts products into cardboard containers or selects pre-assembled containers.
- Posts weights and shipping charges and affixes necessary postage.
- Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons to identify shipping information on cartons.
- Receives raw materials and supplies into warehouse in accordance with our internal receiving SOP.
- Obtains Material samples as required by sample orders.
- Unpacks and examines all incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages.
- Operates sit down/stand up lift truck/pallet jack to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.
- Creates computer generated labels and documents, light to moderate data entry required.
- Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
- Perform established method of order shipping (FIFO), ships finished goods to customers according to specified instructions.
- ERP/WMS experience preferred.
- Ability to use computer to locate, store and research inventory items.
III. Essential Skills and Experience:
Education or Equivalent: (Minimum required to perform job)
- High School Diploma or GED requires.
- 6+ months of warehouse/forklift experience
Knowledge/Skills Requirements: (List unique knowledge skills, or problem-solving requirements)
- Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in written English.
- Knowledge of GMP requirements
Pay Rate Range: $15-20/hr depending on experience
