Target Pay Rate: 40-47.02/hr **salary will be commensurate with experience 

Job Purpose and Key Responsibilities:

US HEOR Researcher will be responsible for developing and implementing a HEOR research strategy for Oncology therapeutic area. This will include the conduct of outcomes research studies (health economics, patient-reported outcomes, retrospective data analyses, epidemiology and health services research) while working closely and collaboratively with other functional areas in U.S. Medical Affairs, U.S. Managed Markets Department (National Healthcare Alliance - NHA), Global Health Economics, Brand Teams and Data Analytics / Market Research.

HEOR Researcher will be responsible for leading and executing all real- world and outcomes research activities oncology, contributing outcomes research expertise and managing / developing HEOR colleagues assigned to them.

• Oversee HEOR strategic planning for therapeutic areas
• Provide HEOR leadership to key internal cross-functional TA leadership teams
• Lead all HEOR activities involved in developing outcomes-based strategies and tactics aligned with medical and commercial plans.
• Develop and implement HEOR research strategy including development of study design & conduct, identification of data source, and publication plan (including presentations and other methods of dissemination)
• Closely communicate with US HEOR VP in the strategic management and implementation of HEOR plans
• Ensure quality of design, execution, and publication of HEOR studies and quality of models & tools developed for franchise.
• Develop TA HEOR budget, present to appropriate levels of management for approval, and manage budgeted funds in conjunction with direct report(s).
• Drive HEOR strategy and tactical development from phase IIIb-IV and post-launch for the US marketplace
• Ensure relevant endpoints and study design for clinical trial program to meet the needs of US payers
• Monitor relevant HEOR related US policy relevant to TA
• Represent US HEOR on cross-functional teams.
• Work collaboratively with the Global HEOR Department
• Participate in business planning and annual budgeting process.
• Develop and manage research partnerships with academia, thought leaders, managed care and other customers, and contract research organizations.
• Attend and present at professional meetings.
• Facilitate the communication of HEOR research results to customers through interaction with Medical Affairs, Brand Teams, NHA teams, and other key internal customers
• Actively provide direction, manage performance, create development plans, and facilitate development activities for direct reports.
• Directly manage research studies and other outcomes projects, as needed.

Qualifications:
• A minimum of a MPH/MS is required. Advanced degree (Doctorate, PhD) in outcomes-related field (e.g., Public Health, Economics, Epidemiology); or clinical training with post-graduate fellowship in outcomes-related field is preferred
• A minimum of two to four years previous experience in HEOR is required with prior industry experience highly preferred.
• Experience in developing and gaining management approval for HEOR strategies and tactics to meet objectives for a given product or franchise.
• Experience in at least one specific therapeutic area is preferred but not required.
• Solid experience in conducting HEOR studies applying health economics, retrospective data analyses, patient-reported outcomes, epidemiology, prospective observational / outcomes studies and health services research is preferred.
• Experience serving on cross-functional leadership teams.
• Experience with formal people management, including performance management and development is preferred.
• Understanding of United States health care systems and economics; specifically understanding perspectives, business models, data processing, and information needs of managed care, specialty pharmacy and public sector is preferred.
• Understanding of the uses of HEOR for health policy decision-making is preferred.
• Understanding of regulatory and commercial compliance issues relating to conducting research and disseminating of scientific information is required.
• Must be able to travel up to 20% domestically. - may include travel for conferences, poster presentations, ad boards and in person team meetings.
