Target Pay Rate: 50-100/hr **salary will be commensurate with experience
Job Summary:
Under the guidance of the Director, the Medical Affairs Manager will contribute to development of the US medical affairs plan for assigned product(s) and ensure optimal execution of planned activities. This includes strategic partnerships with the brand and commercial teams, HEOR (Health Economics Outcomes Research), R&D (Research and Development), FMA (Field Medical Affairs), MI&E (Medical Information and Education) and global functions as necessary to create and implement strategies that support pre-launch and post-approval activities. This Medical Affairs Manager will report into the Director, Medical Affairs Oncology, and be focused on supporting Medical Diagnostics strategy for multiple assets.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Director in development and execution of medical diagnostics tactical plan and ensure the tactical implementation is consistent with company SOPs, rules and regulations.
- Support the Director in driving insights collection by coordinating advisory boards, external KME consultants, and field medical insight questions.
- Develop medical insight report & summaries by collating the insights.
- Support scientific communication through development of medical materials.
- Support strategy development through monitoring and reporting of key biomarker data.
- Provide scientific expertise in the review of medical content (abstracts, presentations, medical materials, educational materials).
- Provide support for vendor management, budgets, and project timelines.
- Coordinate and support execution of US medical affairs engagements and activities at scientific congresses.
Skills:
- 1-3 years of relevant experience at pharmaceutical or diagnostic industry, agency, clinical and/or academic for MD, PharmD, or PhD preferred. Medical affairs experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of oncology and/or molecular biology is required.
- Understanding of oncology treatment and oncology drug development desired.
- Proven track record of working successfully with cross-functional teams to achieve goals.
- Understanding of biomarkers, diagnostic landscape, pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
- Understanding of legal and regulatory guidelines of pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
- Ability to prioritize and maximize cross functional opportunities preferred.
- Ability to deliver high quality products.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interface effectively in a multicultural working environment.
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills with emphasis on building consensus.
- Ability to triage and handle multiple priorities in an effective manner preferred.
- Advanced degree in the Health Sciences, such as PhD, MD or PharmD is required
- Training or experience in a relevant therapeutic area, including solid tumors, breast cancer, lung cancer, gyn, GI malignancies is strongly preferred.
