Job Description
Target Pay Rate: 40.21-67/hr **salary will be commensurate with experience
Position Summary:
The Scientific Communications amp Publications Professional will contribute to development and implementation of scientific communications activities execution of high-quality publications and production of high-quality written/digital materials that support engagement with external audiences. This position reports to the Senior Director Scientific Communications and Publications and will be located at our headquarters in New Haven CT or may be performed remotely from a location within the U.S.
Principal Responsibilities Key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
- Development of individual publication tactics (i.e., manuscripts, abstracts, posters, oral presentations, and plain language summaries)
- Consideration of innovative ways to present data
- Support medical social media channel(s), including development of content calendars and execution of content
- Contribute to the development of scientific content and execution for congress medical communication activities (e.g., medical booth and MSL materials)
- Assessment of products, competitors, and therapeutic landscape and analysis of data and information gaps
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in medical communications including publications and non-publications deliverables
- Strong planning and organizational skills to prioritize projects
- Advanced computer skills Word PowerPoint Excel
- Experience with medical content management systems e.g. Datavision Veeva and biomedical reference databases e.g. PubMed Ovid Medline preferred
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Ability and confidence to develop and maintain strong working relationships and willingness/ability to discuss science and strategy with stakeholders at all levels
Education: Advanced degree MS MPH in life sciences or PharmD PhD required
