Job Description


Summary:

The main function of a medical affairs specialist is to develop/maintain Medical Affairs infrastructure and establish metrics/analytics to ensure that Medical Affairs meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set-up systems (e.g., CMS) and processes to archive and ensure training and proctoring documentation that comply with EW SOPs and resolve issues as appropriate
  • Analyze data from Medical Affairs and sales operations databases to create reports
  • Collaborate with BU Medical Affairs stakeholders to establish key operations program metrics and dashboards (e.g., proctor/HCP attendances, number of trainings, invoices, contracts)
  • Collaborate with vendors and users on the enhancement and development of the Medical Affairs digital platforms (e.g., grants, proctor, SalesForce.com, THV training portal)
  • Provide logistics support (e.g., ensure simulation and devices are available, first point of contact for vendors) EW events and external conferences
  • Upload training content and department work instructions on appropriate systems (e.g., LMS, WebDam) and resolve troubleshooting issues
  • Other incidental duties

Additional Skills:
  • Good organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent computer skills in MS Office Suite and related systems (e.g., SalesForce.com, LMS)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills
  • Good problem-solving, critical thinking, and investigative skills
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of policies, procedures, and guidelines relevant to training SOP
  • Solid knowledge of digital applications and development
  • Solid knowledge of internal compliance as it relates to Medical Affairs
  • Strict attention to detail
  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels including physicians
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Must be able to work in a team environment with global marketing team and cross functional partners
  • Ability to build productive internal/external working relationships
  • Adhere to all EHS rules and requirements and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Experience working in healthcare and/or professional environment preferred
  • 8-10 years of experience required
55-65 pay rate range
