Target Pay Rate: 40-45.46/hr **salary will be commensurate with experience 

Job Description:

The Process Research and Development department of Research Laboratories has a research chemist position available in the Boston, Massachusetts research facility.
It is a laboratory-based role to support reaction discovery and process development.

Client is seeking a candidate with experience in organic chemistry, organic synthesis, methodology/catalysis (including chemocatalysis, biocatalysis and heterogeneous catalysis), total synthesis, physical organic chemistry, or flow chemistry, along with a proven track record of solving problems.

Candidates must possess strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Qualifications:
Education: A PhD in Chemistry with 0-1 year experience or MS degree in chemistry with a minimum of 4 years or a Bachelor's degree with 6 years of experience in organic synthesis including synthetic methodology, catalysis, and / or total synthesis along with a proven track record of solving problems. Skills and Experience: • Significant experience in synthesis, purification and analytical characterization of organic compounds including HPLC, MS, and NMR • Experience in high-throughput reaction design and execution • Effective communication and collaboration skills in a team environment Software: • MS office • ELN/Electronic notebook Personality: • Team player • Good communication skills • Problem Solver • Detail Oriented Note: This is 100% onsite lab based role. 6 months assignment with possibility of extension. Key skills: • Organic synthesis experience • Synthetic reaction • Chromatography • Crystallization • NMR Industry: • Academic or pharma or chemical experience is OK to submit • Do not submit with Polymers and material experience.
