Job Description


The candidate will be responsible for performing and documenting complaint analyses on returned medical devices.  An understanding of patient monitors, respiratory equipment, and surgical generators use in the field preferred.  Good communication skills are required.  Ability to work with internal groups to resolve issues.  Ability to work with no to minimal supervision. 

 

Top 3 technical  skills that you are required for this role:
  1. Strong electronic and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  2. Ability to read and interpret manuals, procedures, and schematics.
  3. Technical writing skills for documenting results.

Education Required: Baccalaureate degree.

A Day in the Life

 

Every day activities are subject to change, including the following responsibilities:
  • Managing complaint backlog.
  • Performing complaint analysis on low-to-medium-complexity electrical, mechanical, and electro-mechanical products that have been returned from the field.
  • Data collection and manipulation.
  • Entry-level individual contributor on a project or work team working with moderate supervision.
  • Identifies, defines, and addresses problems that are not immediately evident but typically not difficult or complex.
  • Communicates primarily with internal contacts within the site, however, may be involved with communications to outside post-market, sustaining engineering, and/or R&D engineering groups.
  • Ability to lift/move objects up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Updating existing work instructions.

Must Have: Minimum Qualifications
  • Basic aptitude with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Entry-level knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with a general understanding of other areas within the job function.
  • Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A).
  • 0 Years of experience required.

Nice to Have
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, etc.
  • Circuit board troubleshooting experience.
  • Through-hole and surface mount soldering experience.
  • Technical writing skills.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to solve problems. Problems and issues faced are not complex, difficult or undefined, and require information gathering, analysis and investigation.
  • Proven communication skills: Communicates with internal customers and stakeholders concerning ongoing operations, programs, or processes.
