Quality Control Analyst III
Job Description
Summary of Role We are seeking a strong candidate to perform compendial testing for raw materials (chemicals) in support of a project. Area Specific Information
- Perform a variety of compendial methods utilizing bench chemistry and lab equipment such as HPLC, GC, AA, FTIR, UV, KF.
- Knowledgeable of compendial methods and able to perform compendial testing in accordance with monographs, SOPs and cGMP guidelines. Minimal supervision required.
- Experience with area specific laboratory instrumentation and wet chemistry.
- Perform verification of data to ensure accuracy. Perform approval upon discretion of supervisor.
- Assist with calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Utilize a range of electronic systems such as QMS, LIMS, CDS and document/equipment management software.
- Resolve routine and more advanced problems by utilizing appropriate resources. Provide problem solving skills to support investigations.
- Participate in protocols for procedural and instrumentation validations.
- Train on and maintain knowledge of current regulatory requirements and relevant internal procedures.
- Actively promote safety rules and awareness. Demonstrate good safety practices at all times including the appropriate use of protective equipment. Report and takes initiative to correct safety & environmental hazards.
- Work individually and as a team with quality and attention to detail. Good communication skills both oral and written. Effectively and efficiently participate in assigned tasks in a quality manner.

- Requires a BS and typically 5 years of related experience; MS and 3 years; or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Degree in a related scientific discipline (e.g. chemistry) and experience in the pharmaceutical industry, related GMP environment, or equivalent preferred. Previous analytical chemistry including HPLC and GC experience preferred.
- This position is site-based in both N. Billerica & Bedford MA and requires a presence onsite 5 days per week.
- Able to pass eye exam for color and have correctable vision.
- Work with, or in proximity to, potentially hazardous chemical materials.
- Must be able to lift/move materials, e.g. gas cylinders, ~10-20 lb bottles of chemicals (individuals and multiples in cartons), ~25 lb. HPLC waste containers
- Vision capable of particulate inspection preferred.
- Experience with LabVantage LIMS and Empower CDS preferred.
