Job Description

Pay is commiserate with experience and ranges between $42-57/hr
 
Responsibilities:
  • Serve as R&D Ocular Health (OH) packaging equipment and lab owner.
  • Serve as an R&D OH packaging lab equipment validation SME. Lead and perform packaging lab equipment validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) and test method validation.
  • Coordinate department validation activities within the project schedule. Conduct training on protocols associated with equipment, systems, and processes under validation.
  • Perform investigations and troubleshooting associated to lab equipment and process validation activities.
  • Perform data analysis, including the use of statistics, and prepare written reports/summaries from validation and engineering studies.
  • Support change initiatives and the implementation of process improvement initiatives by assessing the impact to the validated state of the process.
  • Author technical documents (e.g. SOP procedures, protocols and reports).
  • Interact with cross-functional teams including OH R&D Pilot Lab, Manufacturing Operations, and Quality Assurance to support the new product development and existing product life cycle management.
  • Work with internal and external testing labs to perform needed tests and write testing reports.
  • Strong hands-on experience with mechanical engineering background desired.
  • Perform Packaging Design Engineering focuses on designing and developing product packaging (e.g., boxes, cartons, bottles, labels, tamper bands and other containers).
  • Perform Lab testing as needed.
  • Experience in medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
