Job Description


Core essential skill sets to be considered for the role:
1. Bilingual in Spanish
2. Experience as a phlebotomist
3. Must have a current CPR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation card

Job Summary:
The role of the Research Technician is to serve as an integral member of the site and study team during study processes, including pre-admit, admission, orientation, conduct, discharge and study close.

Essential Functions:
• Performs conduct procedures in strict compliance to the study protocol, Good Clinical Practice standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), QA/QC procedures, OSHA guidelines and other state and local regulations as applicable
•Provides assistance in the execution of clinical trials
•Ensures the well-being and safety of study participants
•Provides administrative and operational support

Qualifications:
Education A high school diploma or G.E.D. and advanced medical procedure training or Phlebotomist certification is required.

Experience:
•One to two (1-2) years of experience in a clinical environment
«    An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (Other pertinent qualifications/skills/knowledge necessary to perform in the essential functions of the job)
•Able to obtain vital signs and perform ECGs
•Able to perform telemetry and insertion of intravenous catheters, or a willingness to learn
•Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
•Able to world independently and handle multiple competing priorities
•Able to work with tight deadlines
•Able to function independently within a team environment
•Excellent organizational and time-management skills and a strong attention to detail
•Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Incumbents in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing, wa1l‹ing, stooping, bending, and lifting materials and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.

Physical Demands:
•Bending and leaning up to 4 hours - changing position approximately every 2 minutes
• Variable hours including nights and weekends

Work Environment:
»    Predominantly clinical conduct environment
•    Non-supervisory, non-managerial

The max pay rate is $20.70/hr based on experience
