Pay rate range: $30-40/hr
The successful candidate is to conduct absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion (ADME) studies with focus on drug transporters to support the discovery and development of drugs candidates.
- Perform bioanalysis of structurally diversified small molecules for cell-based assays
- Culture and validate various cell lines and in vitro assay systems, and generate and interpret data to understand the ADME properties of small molecules
- Collaborate with supervisory personnel and follow general laboratory operations to develop fit-for-purpose sample preparation protocols and analytical methods by liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry
- Maintain good laboratory safety and documentation practices including laboratory notebooks, protocols, and reports writing; present data in team/project meetings as necessary
Required Years of Experience: 2-5
Required Degree or Certification: B.S. or M.S.
Top 3 Required Skill Sets:
1) Familiar with LC-MS/MS-based analytical methods and sample preparation for small molecule analysis using liquid handling equipment, and LC-MS/MS instruments (Sciex 6500/7500 and/or Waters Xevo) 2) Experience in cell culture maintenance with hands-on experience in culturing different recombinant cell lines and primary cells (e.g. hepatocyte) 3) Experience in running molecular biology assays (e.g. qPCR), biochemical, and cell-based assays and related sample preparations
Top 3 Nice to Have Skill Sets:
1) Prior experience and knowledge in transporter assays (i.e. uptake/efflux transport in vitro systems and sandwich-cultured hepatocyte assays) and DMPK concepts to support ADME studies is a plus 2) Experience in using data analysis software (excel, GraphPad) 3) Excellent verbal and technical communication and interpersonal skills, and with the ability to follow general supervision to troubleshoot and interpret results
