Job Description
Our Client is a molecular engineering company focused on creating best-in-class in vivo therapies that permanently treat the underlying cause of disease. Founded by CRISPR inventors and leading molecular engineers, out client is overcoming the limitations of current genome editing technologies by developing custom engineered enzymes and delivery modalities as part of a proprietary, evergreen CRISPR by Design™ platform for CRISPR-based genetic medicine.
We are seeking a highly creative, passionate, and motivated individuals to join us in our quest to bring the next generation of CRISPR-based therapeutics into the IND enabling framework. The current role is for a Research Technician / Associate to support our in vitro experiments. The candidate should have a passion for working collaboratively with biologists and bioengineers to enable building the necessary tools for meeting the new frontier of CRISPR based therapeutics.
Key Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of this role will be to plan, perform and analyze experiments to support the discovery and development of new therapeutics. These will include:

- Perform cell culture work, including thawing, maintaining, expanding, cryopreserving immortalized and primary cell lines
- Plan and execute cell-based assays (delivery, microscopy)
- Perform DNA/RNA/protein isolation from mammalian cells
- Analyze DNA/RNA levels using PCR methods
- Analyze protein expression using western blot, JESS and/or ELISA
- Prepare aliquots of media, reagents, and inventory management
- Follow standard operating procedures, maintain accurate records in electronic notebooks, and adhere to safety protocols
- Plan and perform experiments and analyze data with supervision
- A BS/BA in Biology, or closely related field with at least 2+ years of lab experience in biopharma industry
- Proven hands-on experience with sterile technique for handling and growing mammalian cell lines
- Demonstrated experience with techniques for DNA/RNA/Protein isolation and analysis
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary research team.
Preferred Skills and Background:
- Familiarity with CRISPR technologies and therapeutic approaches
- Experience running high throughput assays
