Job Description
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Under general supervision, performs a wide range of assigned laboratory tasks with efficiency, accuracy and attention to detail (e.g. selects methods, troubleshoots routine procedures)
- Executes tasks in sequence, one dependent on another
- Exercises technical judgement in execution of specialized procedures and interpretation of results
- Initiates routine problem investigation and recommends solutions
- Maintains responsibility for routine laboratory instrumentation and supplies
- Maintains good records
- Coordinates stakeholders and works with various departments to arrange domestic and inter-national shipments of biologics and compounds
- Performs basic functions within compound management to deliver samples to requesters across Takeda sites
- Prepares tare vials and checks in Chemistry compounds upon arrival
- Keeps good track records of lab consumables and orders them as needed
DIMENSIONS AND ASPECTS
- Demonstrates technical knowledge of a scientific discipline
- Understands specific scientific mechanisms of why a procedure works
- Familiar with robotics and automation platforms
- Attention to details
EDUCATION
- BS degree in a scientific discipline, or equivalent
