Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Physiological Chemistry Department. A successful candidate will participate in the identification of novel components in innate immune responses and cell death pathways. Experiments will involve cell engineering, microscopy, and in vivo mouse studies.
This is a wet laboratory position where the candidate is expected to thrive in the many collaborative opportunities of this dynamic and fast-paced environment of cutting-edge basic science. The drive to advance projects and multi-task with discipline is important.
Responsibilities of the position include:
- Execute cell engineering projects
- Assist with in vivo mouse studies
- Interact with cross functional team members and collaborators
- Present data at laboratory meetings and journal club
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors or Masters with 2+ years bench work experience
- Cell culture experience
- Exceptional organizational abilities and ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to interpret and present data at meetings
- Ability to take initiative and solve problems independently
- Willingness to work with animal models
DESIRED:
- Basic computational literacy
- Strong interest in microbiology and immunology
Pay Rate Range: $20-34/hr. Salary will be commensurate with experience
