Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Department of Antibody Engineering as a Research Scientist. The role will involve designing and conducting hands-on laboratory research as well as data processing and analysis. A significant portion of efforts will involve the experimental characterization of antibodies in efforts to accelerate drug development with machine-learning. The role will also involve close collaboration with computational groups in developing cutting edge in silico antibody design methods.
Responsibilities:
Use of advanced molecular biology techniques for protein production
Coordinate protein expression and purification with other teams using high-throughput screening platforms (ELISA, SPR, flow cytometry)
Data processing and storage in centralized databases
Requirements. The successful candidate will have:
Bachelors degree (BS) or Masters degree (MS) in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, related discipline
At least 2 years of research experience in protein biochemistry, protein engineering or related field
Demonstrated proficiency with molecular biology techniques
Proficiency in computer operations including scientific data analysis and database entry Strong organizational and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently and in collaborative settings
Research experience with antibody-based molecular engineering and relevant datatypes (e.g., surface plasmon resonance data and deep sequencing datasets) is desirable but not essential. Self-driven candidates with a passion for biotechnology innovation and drug development are encouraged to apply.
Pay ranges between $30-39/hr based on experience
