Job Description
This is a fully on-site role (lab-based)
Direct responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Utilization of AAV vector characterization assays such as genome titer by ddPCR, genome integrity assay, empty/full particle assay, endotoxin assay, and cell-based assays to support gene therapy programs and technology development
- Support animal tissue processing and nucleic acid extraction, perform PCR-based bioanalytical methods
- Establish SOPs and adapt new protocols from literature
- Maintain electronic laboratory notebook
- Sample submission and result management
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry/post-bachelors research
- Hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques (qPCR, ddPCR, DNA gel electrophoresis, SDS-PAGE, WB, ELISA, etc.)
- Ability to independently execute and analyze in vitro molecular biology experiments
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to productively collaborate in cross-functional and matrixed teams
Preferred:
- Previous experience with mammalian cell culture and cell-based assays
- Previous experience working with AAV or other gene therapy vectors
Education: BS in scientific field (biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, etc.)
25-32 pay rate range
