Job Description

Target PR: 40-45/hr
*Depending on experience

-Must have NC RN license

-Occupational health experience a plus

-Needs computer skill:  electronic medical records entry

-Excel spreadsheet (simple entry)

-Phone skills, mainly calls for COVID and some other return to work questions.

-Incumbent knowledge should include an overall understanding of occupational health. 

-The Staff Nurse RN reports directly to the Clinical Nursing Supervisor.

-The RN serves as the site expert medical authority pertaining to medical decisions which must be made.

-The Staff Nurse RN consults with the national medical consultant physician, but is expected to make decisions based upon a combination of written directives, legal requirements, precedent, CDC guidelines and previous experience.

-The RN is regularly in contact with physicians who are providing non-occupational and occupational medical care and rehabilitation for employees.

Education & Experience:

-Position requires graduation from an accredited Bachelors of Science or Associate Degree in nursing program. 

-State licensure is also required.

-A minimum of 3-5 years of related experience in Occupational Health Nursing, medical assessment, emergency medical care, clinic work, and/or public health nursing.

-Incumbent must be licensed to practice nursing in the state of North Carolina.

-Certification via the American Board of Occupational Health Nursing COHN-S OR COHN is preferred


-Assist managers/workers with evaluation of RETURN TO WORK criteria and decisions.

-Will field calls relating to COVID and return to work.

-Provides employees based in the US access to medical and health services with the objective of providing for optimal safe, efficient, and productive operations and optimal employee relations.

-Create medical records including:  return to work notes.
