Job Description

Job Title: SQF Practitioner

Job Responsibilities:
 
  1. SQF Practitioner shall be responsible for working with The Food Company to ensure that the food is safe for consumption and meets all applicable regulatory requirements.
  2. Oversee the development, implementation, review, and maintenance of the company’s SQF system and Food Safety Plan elements. 
  3. Coordinate efforts for customers and 3rd party audits.  Ensure all facilities maintain registration with SQFI annually and schedule the annual SQF re-certification with the certifying body.    
  4. Perform monthly GMP Facility Walkthrough Inspections.
  5. Coordinate and annually update the HACCP Program, Food Safety Plan, Site Security, Food Defense efforts.
  6. Collaborates with Quality Managers to develop, update, & conduct food safety training for the company.
  7. Oversees food safety training effectiveness and ensures the annual training.
  8. Oversees the Environmental Monitoring Programs.
  9. Manage annual internal auditing program, including internal audit training, coordination of audits, communication with auditors and management to ensure corrective actions are implemented for any non-conformances or opportunities for improvement. 
  10. Perform any other duty as assigned.

Education/Experience
 
  • Bachelor's degree in Quality or related discipline and 3 or more years or experience in the Food Processing or similar regulated industry.
  • SQF Certification
