Job description:
The scientific project manager will be responsible for management of research projects in a high throughput lab setting as well as implementing tools and processes to ensure stakeholders have transparent access to project status. The project manager will be responsible for coordinating project activities, including communication, organization, and timelines to ensure goals are met, while fostering collaboration and working closely with laboratory and cross-functional team members.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management and scientific research with experience managing complex projects and coordinating with multiple stakeholders. They should also have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as a foundational scientific or technical domain expertise in biology, genetics, or a related field with a background in laboratory research. Experience in identifying and implementing methods and tools to enhance operational efficiency and facilitate knowledge transfer is a plus. Certifications in project management and a deeper understanding of research and next generation sequencing through a master's or Ph.D. would be advantageous. This role is an individual contributor position that requires working cross-functionally.

• Experience with lab information systems (LIMs).
