A successful candidate will be a member of the small molecule development team and will specifically work in lipid-based formulation (LBF) development with heavy emphasis in self emulsifying drug delivery systems (SEDDS).
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

1) Collaborate with team members or across functions to advance understanding of LBF and its development, propose experimental designs, execute experimental plans, and interpret results with minimal supervision. Identify and support the implementation of innovative concepts and technologies in support of LBF development.
2) Drive development activities such as active pharmaceutical ingredient physicochemical characterization (PXRD, DSC, TGA, PLM, SEM, DLS, HPLC, etc.), solubility in various lipid vehicles, dissolution, and LBF stability assessments.
3) Assess/characterize dispersibility of LBFs and perform in vitro digestion experiments to understand and rank order the precipitation behavior of various LBFs.
4) Maintain/record data properly, communicate results, draft scientific reports, and manuscripts.

1) Background in Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related areas.
2) Good understanding of various lipid vehicles with different HLB used in LBF development. Knowledge and hands on experience in Lipid based formulation (SEDDS) development and characterization.
