A research associate IV position is available in the Protein Analytical Chemistry Department (within the US Biologics Pharma Technical Development organization). The selected candidate will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and performing LC-MS based multi-attribute method (MAM) for recombinant protein therapeutics.
The candidate will maintain, operate, and troubleshoot LC-MS/MS instruments, automated liquid handlers, and related laboratory equipment used to prepare and analyze the protein samples. The candidate is expected to perform the MAM data analysis, summarize and write the development technical reports. The candidate will closely work with analysts in GMP lab for implementation, training and method transfer.
- B.S. or Masters degree in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Mass Spectrometry, or related technical field.
- Hands-on experience in chromatography and mass spectrometry analysis of proteins, particularly with developing and implementing LC-MS methods using high resolution instruments for MS/MS, peptide mapping, post-translational modifications, etc.
- Ability to keep accurate and timely documentation per departmental guidelines, timely document and communicate abnormal laboratory observations.
- Highly motivated, achievement-oriented, attention to detail, well-organized, team player, with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for MS analytical workflows. Good oral and written communication skills are preferred.
Target pay rate range: $65-75/hr. Salary will be commensurate with experience
