Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform scientific experiments that contribute to core group/research goals and reflect expert knowledge in development of biological drugs and in the area of protein purification, CMC evaluation and protein biochemistry related to the development of biological drugs.
- Be responsible to conduct high throughput experiments daily and support experienced scientists in planning and analyzing the generated data.
- Prepare and communicate data in technical reports and oral presentations. Deliver updates to team members and management in context of overall project goals.
- Maintain scientific excellence in area of protein purification, protein expression and biophysical characterization. Develop broad knowledge in field of expertise, including the ability to interpret current literature relevant to R&D projects
- Participate as an NBEPC representative on multiple project teams and aid in defining and prioritizing departmental aspects of project issues and goals.
- Comply with all applicable regulations; Ensures that work performed in area of responsibility is conducted in a safe and compliant manner; Maintains proper records in accordance with SOPs and policies.
- We are looking for a person who has some experience with liquid handlers/Hamilton devices

Scientist II Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution with two-plus (2+) years of experience in Biochemistry or related scientific discipline or Master’s Degree from an accredited institution in Biochemistry or related scientific discipline
- Master’s Degree from an accredited institution with three-plus (3+) years of experience in Biochemistry or related scientific discipline, OR Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution with seven-plus (7+) years of experience in Biochemistry or related scientific discipline
- Ability to act while a supervisor is in his/her absence
- Provide and apply expertise in protein purification techniques. Demonstrate additional scientific knowledge of projects and understand technology beyond protein purification
- Demonstrate a broad knowledge in the field of biology and biochemistry (SDS-PAGE, Western blot analysis, HPLC, protein characterization, aggregation, glycosylation, generic protein analysis)
- Ability to multi-task and organize multiple experiments simultaneously
- Ability to work in team-oriented environment
- Ability to troubleshoot
- Communicate effectively orally and in writing in a local and international inter-disciplinary environment
- Must be highly motivated and an independent performer
- Experience and knowledge with antibody and multi-specific molecules preferred
- Familiarity with laboratory automation, high-throughput process development and digitalization is a plus.
- Pharmaceutical industry experience is a plus

Pay Rate Range: $30-45/hr depending on experienceÂ
