Senior Director, Clinical Departmental Operations | Clinical Project Management
Job Description
NYC-based growth-stage biopharmaceutical company seeks a highly organized and collaborative candidate to build project plans, coordinate within the division, company, and externally with contracting organizations and partners to set and track timelines and budgets, and to execute a streamlined suite of communication materials. This role requires excellent communication skills, both written and oral; presentation skills, both in Powerpoint | project management software and oral; and problem-solving to manage complex projects across various functions, including clinical, regulatory, pre-clinical, and CMC product.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead cross-functional clinical program initiatives from planning to execution, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
- Develop and maintain detailed project roadmaps, milestones, and dependencies.
- Ensure rigorous timeline management, proactively tracking deadlines and mitigating delays.
- Optimize processes to improve efficiency and scalability across operations.
- Identify inefficiencies in workflows and implement best practices to improve productivity.
- Use data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement and optimize operational performance.
- Standardize processes and document key workflows.
Qualifications:
- Ability to prioritize workload.
- Ability to work closely with multiple clinical functions and with the CMO.
- Ability to understand project goals and to propose plans and solutions (self-starter).
- Uncompromising attention to detail and the ability to think analytically.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability.
- Strong computer skills, including advanced spread sheet skills
- Strong proficiency in timeline management and milestone tracking.
- Experience creating PowerPoint templates and executive-level presentations.
- Proficiency in project management tools (Asana, Jira, Monday.com, Smartsheet, etc.).
- Excellent analytical skills with experience using data for decision-making (Excel, SQL, or BI tools is a plus).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
Preferred Skills:
- PMP, Six Sigma, or Agile certifications are a plus.
- Industry-specific experience
