The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and executing large-scale technology projects related to mergers, acquisitions, and rebranding initiatives. This role requires a seasoned project manager with expertise in managing complex, high-stakes projects that involve significant changes to technology platforms, administrative systems, Active Directory (AD) and Identity rebranding, end-user computer rebranding, and digital assets rebranding, both internal and external. The successful candidate will lead cross-functional teams, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget, while managing the risks and challenges inherent to such strategic transitions.
The ideal candidate will bring experience planning and managing large-scale pharmaceutical and biotech systems-related projects and programs. A solid track record of successful technology project delivery in a global, geographically diverse environment is expected. The role will be well-versed in best practices for effective project delivery, able to partner closely with staff and leaders at every level of the organization and provide PMO oversight governance and project management and consulting.
The candidate will be highly skilled in the operation and maturity of PMO organizations through contributions to strategy, technology, continuous process improvement, standards, and people management. This individual will demonstrate excellent communication and critical thinking skills; expertise in data-driven management and planning; and the capability to effectively influence, advise, lead, and mentor.
Team and Resource Management

- Partner effectively with GTS leadership, business partners, relationship managers, project sponsors, stakeholders, colleagues, and vendors in multiple locations, and across multiple time zones.
- Direct, motivate, and manage and engage geographically diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Lead the planning and execution of technology projects related to mergers, acquisitions, and rebranding, including the integration or divestiture of IT systems, platforms, and infrastructure.
- Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and objectives.
- Ensure that all project deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and align with the organization’s technology and business strategies.
Technology Integration and Rebranding:
- Lead the program/project management of initiatives focused on the seamless integration or separation of IT systems during mergers and acquisitions, including the following:
- the migration of data,
- reconfiguration of networks,
- consolidation of platforms,
- Active Directory and Identity rebranding
- rebranding of digital assets
- end user computer rebranding.
- Lead change management efforts, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed, prepared, and supported throughout the transition process.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with technology transitions, ensuring business continuity, and minimizing disruptions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related communications, ensuring that stakeholders are kept informed of progress, challenges, and any changes to the project plan.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between IT teams, business units, and external vendors to achieve project objectives.
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership, including project status reports, risk assessments, and performance metrics.
- Champion the use of project management best practices, including the use of standardized methodologies, tools, and templates.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability of project management processes.
- Mentor and develop junior project managers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning within the team.
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferably life sciences, IT, data analytics or related discipline).
- 6-8 years direct experience in project management delivering large-scale, enterprise-level projects and programs with a focus on technology projects related to mergers, acquisitions, and rebranding in a GxP or regulated environment.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects, with an emphasis on delivering projects on time and within budget.
- 5+ years direct experience planning and deploying applications and/or systems in a biotech, pharmaceutical or medical device industry preferred.
- Strong understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, and platforms, including experience with systems integration, Active Directory (AD) and Identity rebranding, and end-user computing.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Certification preferred.
- Highly proficient with standard project management applications (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet), flow chart applications (e.g., MS Visio, Lucid chart). Smartsheet certification preferred.
- Leadership: Ability to lead diverse teams and drive project success.
