Senior Research Associate – New Discovery & Platforms
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate or Senior Research Associate to join the Discovery Sciences – New Discovery & Platforms team. This individual will play a key role in identifying and characterizing novel oncology therapeutics by developing and executing biochemical, biophysical, and cell-based assays. The successful candidate will be a hands-on experimentalist who thrives in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, working to support our early discovery efforts in oncology at the interface of chemistry and biology. The role will require expertise in assay development, protein characterization, and data analysis to support drug discovery efforts. Additionally, this position will contribute to screening, hit identification, and validation of small molecules, molecular glues, and novel modalities.
Required Skills, Experience and Education:

2-5 years of relevant industry experience in biotech, pharma, or drug discovery research.

Hands-on experience with biochemical and biophysical assays such as SPR, TR-FRET, FP, BLI, ITC, nanoDSF, MSD, etc.

Experience with LC/MS-based protein characterization.

Strong data analysis and visualization skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a team-oriented mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
-
Experience with cell-based assay development using technologies such as NanoBRET, CTG, AlphaLISA, etc.

Familiarity with hit identification, validation, and screening platforms.

Knowledge of molecular glues and similar modalities.

Hands-on experience with automated liquid handlers, including SPT Dragonfly and Mosquito, Echo, Hamilton, etc.

Familiarity with data processing and visualization tools to analyze large datasets such as Genedata Screener and/or Expressionist.

Experience with Python, R, or other scripting languages for assay or screen data analysis is a plus.

Strong quantitative approach to experimental design, data interpretation, and statistical validation.
