Job Description


The candidate will gain experience interrogating cellular and molecular mechanisms as they relate to kinase target pathway modulation, off-target liabilities, and resistance. The candidate’s primary role will be lab based and include cellular assays to support drug discovery efforts. This position offers the opportunity to impact a growing portfolio of targeted therapies in a fast-paced and innovative research environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Independently conduct, optimize, and proactively troubleshoot cellular screening assays.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Run cellular assays to screen small molecules in support of drug discovery efforts. 
  • Employ cellular and molecular techniques such as Western blotting, qPCR, ELISA, and flow cytometry to support mechanism of action studies.
  • Analyze and record detailed experimental data in an electronic laboratory notebook in a timely manner.
  • Actively participate in cross-functional projects.
  • Present data to integrated project teams.

Education
  • BS/MS in in cell/molecular biology, cancer biology, genetics, or related discipline with 1-3 years of laboratory experience in an academic or industrial setting

Basic qualifications
  • Experience with mammalian cell culture, including sterile technique, transfection, and transduction techniques. 
  • Experience with cell-based assays in 96 and 384 well format.
  • Familiarity with state-of-the-art experimental techniques and the ability to implement new technologies when applicable
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Strong problem solving and interpersonal skills to facilitate cross-functional collaboration
  • Highly self-motivated, team player, capable of adapt to fast-paced and collaborative work environment

Additional qualifications
  • Previous drug discovery experience in cancer biology is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with AlphaLISA, HTRF, and IF techniques is a plus.
  • Prior experience with stable cell line generation is a plus
  • Prior experience with automation or HTS is a plus.
