Job Description


Purpose
  • Address and respond to product inquiries, complaints, and suspected adverse events in a timely and compliant manner, adhering to US regulations (FDA, USDA, EPA) and internal policies for capturing, maintaining, and reporting adverse events and product quality complaints.
  • Receive product inquiries, complaints, and suspected adverse events arising from product usage, primarily communicated via telephone but also through email or mail from various sources, including veterinarians, veterinary technicians, pet owners, sales representatives, and other internal personnel.
  • Provide information and support on proper product use, extra-label use, literature requests, adverse events, unexpected responses to treatment, perceived lack of efficacy, and product or packaging defects.
  • Maintain a high level of technical and clinical expertise related to internal products by reading journals and attending scientific seminars.
  • Document all communications in the Validated Database (PVWorks) according to SOPs and compliance/GMP requirements, implementing appropriate responses and procedures as needed.
  • Ensure timely and accurate communication while adhering to all SOPs, escalating calls to Technical Services Veterinarians as required.
  • Support external and internal sales representatives by providing technical support, answering client inquiries, and participating in veterinary conferences.
  • Research pertinent topics and prepare reports as requested by the Manager, participating in call analysis and reporting product usage trends.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Conduct all company business in compliance with regulations (e.g., EEO, FDA) and company policies. Report any observed violations to management immediately.
  • Maintain high ethical and professional standards to preserve our reputation within the animal health community and internally.
  • Understand and apply relevant GMPs and have a solid grasp of pharmacovigilance and complaint-handling compliance requirements.

Skills
  • Strong customer service background with a commitment to excellence.
  • Ability to balance customer service with regulatory compliance to adhere to good product stewardship principles and maximize sales.
  • Knowledge of basic veterinary practice issues and procedures.
  • Attention to detail, quality focus, and strong technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage conflict and balance business needs with user-friendliness.
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure, demonstrating initiative and flexibility.
  • Experience in the animal health industry or a related regulatory field is a plus.

Education
  • Associate Degree or higher in Life Sciences/Veterinary Technician
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a veterinary clinic (veterinary assistant and/or technician)








Pay Rate Range: $20-25/hr depending on experience
