Job Description
Pay 40-60/h depending on experience.

- Ability to perform structural FEA using ANSYS Workbench for multi-component assemblies

- Experienced with Creo, SolidWorks and Ansys Workbench
Education Required: BSME required, MSME or PhD Mech Engrg preferred
Years’ Experience Required: Minimum 4 yrs experience in FEA modeling

What product line will this person support? MDT\CST\ET
The person filling this position will support the design and development of new mechanical products thru the use of Predictive Engineering techniques focused on Modeling and Simulation. Specifically, this position requires detailed, highly skilled aptitudes in the area of Finite Element mesh generation to support boundary value simulation. Experience with ElectroMechanical modeling is a plus.
Key skillsets needed by a successful candidate include:
- Knowledge and experience modeling behavior of plastics and metals in the Ansys suite of tools, including specific expertise in Workbench products.
- Ability to perform FEA for the purpose of device design, optimization, testing verification, method validation and regulatory submissions.
- Ability to write scripts/programs to perform calculations and control model outcomes.
Must Have
- Ability to efficiently manage a large quantity of data and calculations
- · Ability to learn and apply new knowledge quickly
- Ability to perform FEA for the purpose of device design, optimization, testing verification, method validation, and regulatory submissions
- · Ability to understand and define mechanical models for complex devices
- · Ability to work in Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Ability to write scripts/programs to perform calculations and control model outcomes
- · Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
- · Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills
- · Good time management and organizational skills
- Knowledge and experience in manipulating, simplifying and parameterizing geometry within Creo CAD software for use in ANSYS mesh preparation
- Knowledge and experience in working with test engineers and others to assess and improve model accuracy.
- · Strong verbal and written communication skills
Nice To Have
- Experience with Electromechanical modeling
- Masters or PhD in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
- Medical device experience
