The company has an R&D center in Waltham, Massachusetts; a research and manufacturing facility in Athlone, Ireland; and a manufacturing facility in Wilmington, Ohio. 

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This company is currently seeking a Sr. research associate to fill a contract position in the Protein Therapeutics Group at our Waltham MA location. The successful candidate will actively contribute to the early discovery of novel biological molecules for multiple disease indications.
KEY DUTIES:
•    Develop and execute bioanalytical assays using ELISA and MSD platforms to support PK, immunogenicity and biomarker testing for early drug discovery studies
•    Analyze, report, and present results at project meetings
•    Author standard operating procedures, maintain electronic notebook
•    Manage multiple project commitments under the confines of challenging time lines
•    Support the daily activities of the Protein Therapeutics group

TECHNICAL SKILLS
•    Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with ELISA, MSD and other similar plate-based bioanalytical (BA) assays. Experience in BA assays for PK/PD/ADA analysis of protein therapeutics.
•    Experience in biochemical and cell-based assay development is preferred. Such assays may include cell proliferation or cytotoxicity assays.  
•    Experience in biologics discovery is a strong plus (protein design, expression, purification and characterization)

•    Strong problem solving and interdisciplinary communication skills

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
•    BS or MS in a relevant scientific discipline (molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, or immunology).  BS candidates should have 5+ year experience in a pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry setting.
